Under general supervision, the Customer Service Representative II ensures customer expectations are accurately determined and are fully met. The Customer Service Representative II may provide guidance to less experienced Customer Service Representatives or may support specific customer(s).
Job Responsibility
Ensure customer expectations are accurately determined and fully met
Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in (counter sales)
Influence gross profit through negotiating sale price and purchase price within parameters
Adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet demands based on competition while maximizing profit
Build customer relationships to drive repeat business
Order items to ensure appropriate inventory levels
Expedite backorders
Pull inventory and prepare order for shipment
Source products in branch, distribution center or supplier inventory
Determine most cost effective shipping method
Handle customer returns
Support specific customers
Assist less experienced Customer Service Representatives
Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, handle order entry
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination
