We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative II to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will serve as a critical point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are addressed with professionalism and accuracy. You will play a key role in handling vehicle impoundment processes, resolving disputes, and maintaining compliance with city and state regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Guide customers through required procedures and documents necessary for vehicle release or transfer for auction, while explaining associated policies and fees
Examine police reports, towing receipts, and inventory forms for relevant vehicle impoundment data, ensuring completeness and consistency
Assess customer-provided documents, such as vehicle registration, driver’s licenses, and insurance coverage, to verify their authenticity and validity
Identify the necessary steps and paperwork for vehicle release, auction, or disposal based on specific impoundment circumstances and applicable laws
Access Department of Motor Vehicle databases to check for liens or unresolved violations associated with impounded vehicles
Coordinate and schedule administrative hearings to resolve disputes related to vehicle impoundment
Maintain accurate records and documentation while adhering to organizational policies and procedures
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of customer inquiries
Perform additional tasks as required to support customer service and operational goals
Requirements:
Strong organizational skills with experience in indexing and filing
Proficiency in electronic record management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent attention to detail for reviewing and verifying documentation
Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service and resolve inquiries effectively
Familiarity with vehicle impoundment policies and procedures is an advantage
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
