Under general supervision, the Customer Service Representative II ensures customer expectations are accurately determined and are fully met. The Customer Service Representative II may provide guidance to less experienced Customer Service Representatives or may support specific customer(s).
Job Responsibility
Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in
Influence gross profit through negotiating sale and purchase price
Adjust non-contract customer pricing based on competition
Build customer relationships to drive repeat business
Order items to ensure appropriate inventory levels
May place orders without approval up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order
Expedite backorders
May pull inventory and prepare order for shipment
Source products in branch, distribution center or supplier inventory
Determine most cost effective shipping method
May handle customer returns
May support specific customers
Assist less experienced Customer Service Representatives
Respond to customer inquiries and handle order entry
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
2 years of related experience preferred or equivalent combination
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and time management skills
Strong computer skills
Strong negotiation skills
Basic product knowledge
Reliability, organization, and attention to detail
