GED or high school diploma
An active State Technician License
Current and valid PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification is required or willing to obtain one within 6 months of hire
A clean criminal record with no felonies
Previous experience working in a customer service or call center environment within the pharmaceutical or healthcare space
Proficiency in basic math and general PC skills, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Responsibility

Handle phone calls and make outgoing calls to assist patients and healthcare providers
Manage payments and maintain accurate financial records
Provide efficient solutions to inquiries about orders, including payment, shipping, and processing
Respond to text messages promptly for easy communication
Facilitate communication between pharmacists and technicians to ensure smooth patient care

Valid/ Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician License
One year experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
One year work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications

Job Responsibility

Provide telephone support to patients receiving life sustaining specialty drug therapy
Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and reverifying benefits
Help patients with translating and entering in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers and/or internal teams to screen, identify, resolve and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues
