Customer Service Officers | Government Opportunities Randstad is currently recruiting Customer Service Officers for well-known and reputable Government Departments. These opportunities are ideal for people-oriented professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and are looking to contribute to essential public services. Assignments of up to 3 months are available with a high view for extension. Work days are Monday to Friday, with full-time hours scheduled between 8am and 5.30pm. The hourly rate for these positions is $37 - $40 plus super. The Role As a Customer Service Officer, you will provide high-level advisory and administrative support. You will be a primary point of contact, ensuring that queries are resolved efficiently and departmental records are kept up to date.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide high-level advisory and issue resolution for diverse customers
  • Offer guidance to queries and interpret complex customer information
  • Perform high-level administrative tasks and generate appropriate documentation
  • Maintain records management processes, including regular updates and reviews
  • Manage high-volume inquiries both face-to-face and over the phone

Requirements

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in dealing with high-volume calls and a professional phone manner
  • Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Windows PC environment and strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong alpha and numerical data entry skills with high attention to detail
  • The ability to problem solve and learn new technologies quickly
  • Mandatory Compliance: You must hold a current National Police Clearance (NPC)
