We are looking for dedicated Customer Service Advisors to join our contact centre team in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in protecting the environment by providing support and guidance to the public. As a Customer Service Advisor, your focus will be supporting customers over the telephone, with some written correspondence and administrative tasks. You'll help customers understand regulations, guidance, and processes, and take reports of environmental incidents. This is not a sales role. Instead, the emphasis is on providing clear, accurate, and timely support. You will follow established procedures while using your judgement to ensure information reaches the right people across the Environment Agency.
Job Responsibility
Handling incoming calls, gathering and providing information based on customer needs
Sending follow-up correspondence, such as confirmation emails or resource links
Completing administrative processes and record-keeping
Requirements
Strong customer service experience (contact centre, retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing roles)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A reliable employment history with evidence of commitment and engagement
Confidence in using a Windows PC or laptop, including standard office software
Five GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English Language) or equivalent
NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or relevant clerical experience)
