Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our fast-growing Road Freight / Ocean Freight export departments as a Customer Relationship Operator. This varied role involves working closely with our customers to manage all aspects of their road and/or ocean exports. This ranges from issuing quotes, arranging shipments, managing the customs clearance process and everything else through to ensuring the customer receives their shipments on time. You will build close working relationships with customers, overseas partners as well as internal teams, so good communication skills are key in this role. Continuous support and training will be given as we aim to help you develop your skills and knowledge to allow you to grow your career with Davies Turner.

Job Responsibility

  • Working closely with our customers to manage all aspects of their road and/or ocean exports
  • Issuing quotes
  • Arranging shipments
  • Managing the customs clearance process
  • Ensuring the customer receives their shipments on time
  • Building close working relationships with customers, overseas partners as well as internal teams

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a customer service environment (face to face/over the phone)
  • Experience in Road Freight, Ocean Freight and/or Exports
  • Excellent attention to detail & problem solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Interested in movement of goods/freight
  • Right to work in the UK (we are not able to sponsor work permits)
  • Prior experience in Road Transport or Ocean Freight (and/or Exports) is required along with working in a fast-paced office environment
