Job Description

Reporting to the Customer Relations Shopping Experience Manager, this role ensures a positive and joyful shopping experience for all IKEA visitors and customers by handling the daily operation of Småland, ensuring safety and cleanliness, assisting emergencies, organizing materials, and completing reports.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle daily operation of Småland, the children playground
  • ensure good teamwork in the operation of the playroom
  • check and maintain safety and cleanliness of the playroom
  • handle emergency cases such as accidents or sudden sickness
  • carry out safety and evacuation procedures
  • make announcements through internal paging system
  • communicate issues regarding safety and security of the children
  • submit daily Småland report and record information accurately
  • check availability of toys and videos
  • organize store toys and materials
  • assume responsibility for other tasks and projects

Requirements

  • Passion in working with children and parents
  • experience in working with, entertaining and creating stimulating environments for children of different ages
  • experience in organizing and participating recreational activities and games
  • added advantage if previous experience working in child daycare and/or having a first aid certification
  • sound understanding of individual differences in ability, personality and interest
  • good communication skills in both Filipino and English
  • ability to accept criticism and deal calmly and effectively within high-stress situations
