Job Description

The Customer Program Manager is responsible for defining and managing the technical, timing and budget of multiple projects while being the primary interface between customer and the internal engineering and management teams. The Customer Program Manager reports to the Executive Director Corporate Strategy and Business Development.

Job Responsibility

  • Defining and managing the technical, timing and budget of multiple projects
  • Being the primary interface between customer and the internal engineering and management teams
  • Managing all internal and/or external customer deliverables
  • Providing leadership to a matrixed, cross-functional team
  • Conduct budgeting and piecing price targets
  • Documenting and tracking compliance to customer’s technical and commercial requirements
  • Developing solutions to address any/all identified gaps
  • Developing and maintaining project primary project timelines
  • Providing regular project status reports to customer as well as internal senior management
  • Co-lead development, sourcing and managing key suppliers
  • Driving towards rapid identification and resolution of any and all engineering related performance, cost and timing issues
  • 10% domestic travel to client locations

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Information Technology Leadership, or related field plus 3 years of experience with program management
  • Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Information Technology Leadership, or related field plus 5 years of experience with program management
  • 2 years of experience in developing and installing process disciplines
  • 1 year of experience with Lithium Chemistry and Cell Development
  • Demonstrated ability with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Demonstrated manufacturing and plant experience
  • Demonstrated ability launching new programs utilizing Production Part Approval Process Standards (PPAP)
  • Demonstrated proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
