The Customer Order Management Specialist is responsible for coordinating the movement of shipments. The role involves interfacing with key stakeholders and facilitating the efficient flow of orders across the supply chain by resolving discrepancies. The position reports to the Supervisor, Order Management and follows established procedures to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure adherence to regulatory business and department guidelines, policies, and procedures
Resolve sales order issues to ensure accurate order fulfillment
Work with distribution centers to support on-time delivery and key performance indicators
Meet or exceed established order accuracy and turnaround standards
Handle customer contacts professionally, providing accurate and timely responses
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of business unit and regional services and products
Manage short-supply situations, backorders, and manual allocations
Input and manage orders for exception products requiring special handling
Raise serious incidents to appropriate management levels
Ensure orders are accurate and released in alignment with service level agreements
Modify orders in ERP systems, warehouse management, and transit management systems as per regional requirements
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year experience with ERP systems
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (export, logistics, order management, customer service)
Minimum of 2 years' prior experience in a related industry (e.g., medical device, healthcare supply chain, pharmaceutical)
A high school diploma plus 3 years of experience in a similar role
Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to influence without authority
Strong attention to detail and customer focus
Track record of implementing best-in-class service levels
Ability to build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders
Proficiency in setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple tasks
Ability to function in a changing environment and continuously seek improvement
Self-motivated, productive with little or no supervision
Proficiency in MS Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Excel (Beginner to Advanced level)
