We are looking for a dedicated Customer Experience Specialist to join our team in San Diego, California. As part of a mission-driven non-profit organization, you will play a key role in providing compassionate support and connecting individuals with vital services. This is a Contract position with the potential for long-term employment, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community.
Job Responsibility:
Address incoming inquiries and provide accurate information, referrals, or assistance tailored to client needs
Record all client interactions promptly and accurately using web-based systems
Stay informed about available services and resources to ensure effective client support
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client expectations
Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy in all customer service communications
Utilize various software tools, including CRM systems and chat platforms, to enhance service delivery
Assist clients with billing and benefit-related questions, ensuring clarity and resolution
Handle inbound calls efficiently while managing multiple priorities
Support clients using Epic Software and other relevant programs to streamline processes
Uphold organizational values and contribute to a positive team environment
Requirements:
Associate’s degree or higher preferred, or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a call center or customer service role
Familiarity with public health, social work, psychology, or related social sciences is advantageous
Strong verbal and written communication skills to handle diverse client interactions
Proficiency in web-based systems, chat platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Bilingual Spanish/English skills are highly desirable
Experience with CRM systems, billing functions, and benefit-related inquiries
Ability to navigate software tools such as ADP Financial Services, Avaya CMS, and Epic Software effectively
Nice to have:
Familiarity with public health, social work, psychology, or related social sciences is advantageous
Bilingual Spanish/English skills are highly desirable
