We are looking for a Customer Experience Specialist to join a mission-driven non-profit organization serving a local community. In this role, you will support individuals seeking guidance, connect them with appropriate services, and help ensure each interaction is handled accurately and respectfully. Job Responsibility:
Handle incoming calls and messages from individuals seeking support, information, or service referrals, and provide clear, compassionate assistance based on their needs
Record client conversations, service requests, and outcomes in online systems with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
Stay informed about organizational programs, community resources, and eligibility guidelines in order to direct clients appropriately
Work closely with colleagues and partner teams to resolve concerns and ensure clients receive coordinated support
Deliver attentive, courteous service across phone and digital communication channels while maintaining confidentiality and respect
Use call center and customer management platforms to track activity, manage case details, and support efficient follow-up
Assist with questions related to benefits, billing, or general program information by identifying the best available solution or escalation path
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in a call center, customer support, or high-volume client service environment
Additional education beyond high school or an associate degree is preferred
equivalent practical experience will also be considered
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
Proficiency with web-based applications, CRM systems, chat tools, and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience handling inbound calls, documenting interactions, and navigating multiple computer systems at the same time
Background in non-profit services, public health, social work, psychology, sociology, criminology, or a related field is preferred
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred
Familiarity with platforms or tools such as Avaya CMS, Epic software, billing or benefits functions, or similar service-related systems is a plus
