B2B Project Managers have the responsibility for ensuring that the connections that they are handling are completed in a timely, safe manner whilst optimizing cost per connection. Working with CFL planners, DMs and the wider B2B team and with CFL supply chain they are responsible for the sequencing and execution of all tasks required to complete and close out their assigned customer connections. PMs will have a strong knowledge of FTTP deployment.
Job Responsibility:
During the delivery phase, B2B project milestones will be closely monitored, and proactive actions will be taken to address any potential roadblocks or delays
Ability to balance competing priorities and deliver at pace is essential
Prioritisation of design and build deliverables is crucial to ensure timely and efficient project completion
Liaison with team members is essential for effective project execution and alignment with the established build plan
Engagement with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle is essential to maintain transparency and address any concerns or issues promptly
Management of the operational relationship with suppliers is paramount to ensure contractual obligations, key performance indicators (KPIs), and technical specifications are met
The B2B project delivery team serves as the primary escalation point for all B2B project-related matters, addressing concerns and taking appropriate actions to mitigate any potential problems
Routine project updates are provided to stakeholders via established systems, applications, databases, or other communication channels
Project budgets (CPPC) are aligned with business guidelines, and each project is meticulously reviewed and approved through the relevant processes
Financial deliverables, including request for quotes (RFQs), invoicing, and delivery of full economic benefits (DFEs) for contractors, are completed once projects receive authorization
Procurement of project supplies and materials is coordinated to ensure efficient delivery and tracking from supplier to installation
Delivery managers receive support to ensure installations adhere to strict quality standards and industry best practices
Accurate completion documentation, including as-built information, is received from contractors within the agreed service-level agreement (SLA) and thoroughly reviewed before updating GIS systems
Regular progress updates are delivered to the customer, adhering to the established B2B communication process
Order delays are proactively managed with the build partner or internal teams to minimize disruptions and maintain project schedule adherence
Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with every day bringing a new challenge
Project management experience – APM or Prince but not essential
Understanding of FTTP, Openreach network and Civils delivery
Knowledge and experience of the New Roads & Streetworks Act 1991(NRSWA)
Build partner management experience
Understanding of Construction Design Management (CDM) and the requirements under H&S – nice to have
Great working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
