Job Description:

Customer Co-worker position at IKEA Richmond, Victoria, responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring positive customer experiences throughout the store.

Job Responsibility:

Greeting visitors to IKEA by providing friendly, effective, and efficient information for customers
Securing that all products passing through the entrance are paid for
Supporting other areas of Customer Relations including resolving customer service issues
Maintaining shopping tools (shopping baskets, trolleys, and yellow bags) and catalogues
Supporting customers booking their home delivery and collecting their click and collect
Processing returns and resolving customer issues
Handling cash and card payments in a reliable, efficient, accurate and friendly way
Recording information accurately in the system
Ensuring customers have a positive final touchpoint during the IKEA shopping experience

Requirements:

Passionate about securing a positive and seamless customer experience
Strong customer service skills
Able to remain calm when faced with challenging situations
Pro-active to find solutions
Able to comfortably interact with customers in a polite and friendly manner
Able to work closely with team and other departments or work independently
Able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate excellent communication skills
Basic computer and systems literacy
Must be available to work on Wednesdays and Thursdays
Must have availability to work a rotating roster with mix of day and evening shifts
Must have availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday)
