Customer Co-workers in the Customer Relations team build and retain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers in a multichannel retail environment, ensuring a positive and joyful experience for all IKEA visitors and customers.

Job Responsibility:

Processing returns and resolving customer issues, recognising when to escalate to someone with higher authorization
Greeting visitors to IKEA by providing friendly, effective, and efficient information for customers
Supporting other areas of Customer Relations including resolving customer service issues, maintaining shopping tools (shopping baskets, trolleys, and yellow bags) and brochures
Handling cash and card payments in a reliable, efficient, accurate and friendly way
Recording information accurately in the system so we can continually make improvements to the customer shopping experience
Ensuring customers have a positive final touchpoint during the IKEA shopping experience

Requirements:

A passion for securing the best customer experience possible
Excellent communication skills
A polite and friendly manner and a ‘Togetherness’ mindset
Able to work closely with your team and other departments or work independently
The ability to remain calm when faced with challenging situations
Able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong customer service skills, alongside being able to interact with many customers consistently
Basic computer and systems literacy
