Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Customer Care Associate (Outpatient) to join our team in Ukiah, California. In this role, you will provide exceptional administrative and customer service support to ensure a positive experience for patients and staff. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and resolving concerns promptly
  • Assist with front office administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients according to established procedures
  • Process payments and balance daily over-the-counter receipts accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in waiting areas and front desk spaces
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure hospital standards are upheld
  • Provide support in cleaning and preparing rooms between cases following established protocols
  • Open and close the facility or unit as required, ensuring security measures are followed
  • Monitor and replenish stock supplies for assigned areas to support seamless operations
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between patients, staff, and other departments

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • an associate degree or higher is preferred
  • Proven experience in customer service or administrative roles, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficient in data entry, payment processing, and insurance verification
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Nice to have:

  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Familiarity with medical records, billing, and scheduling systems is highly desirable
