Curriculum Delivery: To contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, with a particular focus on our Food Technology curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical, sensory, and social needs of the students within a kitchen and classroom learning environment
Collaborative Working: To work collaboratively with other members of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic student support
Lesson Planning: To maintain and use short, medium, and long-term plans to deliver the Food Technology curriculum safely and effectively
Target Setting: To set, monitor, and review personalised targets that will optimise practical and academic learning for each individual student
Progress Reporting: To monitor, assess, review, and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, and senior staff through identified meetings and reports
Promoting Independence: To develop lesson plans, analysing and self-reflecting on outcomes to foster independent cooking and kitchen safety skills in students
SEN Administration: To contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews
Classroom & Behavior Management: To provide clear structures for practical and theoretical lessons, maintaining pace, motivation, and challenge while managing challenging behaviours and kitchen safety risks in a non-confrontational way
