The Customer Account Representative is a vital, client-facing sales role responsible for managing key customer relationships, generating new business, and securing new customer accounts for heating oil, service contracts, and other home services.
Job Responsibility:
Following up on company-generated leads, successfully closing sales, and securing new customers for heating oil, service contracts, and related home services
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through proactive follow-ups, excellent communication, and a commitment to customer satisfaction
Managing the Move-In/Move-Out (MIMO) process for new homeowners to successfully increase sales volume
Utilizing local networking groups and associations for generating additional sales leads and referrals
Working closely with call center representatives, service teams, and delivery teams to improve the overall customer experience and maximize close rates
Utilizing the company’s CRM (Customer Retention Management) platform to manage the sales pipeline and accurately record all opportunities and activities
Willingness to participate in offsite marketing or sponsored events as needed to support lead generation efforts
Requirements:
At least 1 year of sales experience is preferred (or strong equivalent experience in customer retention/service)
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), active listening, and strong attention to detail
Must be coachable, possess a low ego, demonstrate high accountability, and be a strong communicator in all interactions. Must be a pleasant, professional team player
Strong ability to work independently, high degree of self-motivation, and uncompromising ethical values
High school diploma or equivalent is required (college degree is a plus)
Ability to efficiently utilize a CRM system and other company technology
Ability to work an 8-hour shift, in person, at the Massapequa, NY office (Required)
