We are looking for a Customer Account Manager to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for post-sale customer service, handling inquiries and resolving issues efficiently. This position requires a blend of customer support expertise, knowledge of commercial insurance, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and AI systems to deliver exceptional service.
Job Responsibility:
Address customer inquiries related to certificates of insurance, policy updates, billing matters, renewals, and claims with accuracy and attention to detail
Take ownership of issue resolution by following up with carriers, tracking progress, and ensuring customers are informed throughout the process
Develop a deep understanding of policy types, coverage basics, and carrier procedures to provide confident and accurate responses
Document interactions and patterns to enhance AI systems and contribute to smarter product development
Identify recurring problems and friction points, escalating them to Product and Engineering teams for resolution
Build customer trust and loyalty by providing fast, thorough, and helpful service in every interaction
Collaborate daily with Sales, Customer Experience teams, and AI systems to ensure seamless customer support
Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions
Proactively surface opportunities for improving processes and customer experience
Requirements:
Previous experience in customer service, insurance operations, or related high-volume support roles
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and professionally
Proficiency in multitasking, including typing, navigating multiple systems, and engaging with customers simultaneously
Familiarity with commercial insurance concepts and processes
Comfort using and learning new technology tools, including AI systems
Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency
Problem-solving mindset and ability to take ownership of issues until they are resolved
Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and innovative environment focused on industry advancement
