To support this growth, we are seeking a Customer Account Manager who thrives at the intersection of sales, customer relationships, and operational delivery. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking a service from contract signature through to successful execution and ongoing performance.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a portfolio of customers using Aurizon’s finished vehicle services
Lead the handover from commercial agreements to operational execution, ensuring clarity on scope, volumes, service levels, and pricing
Act as the voice of the customer within Aurizon, working closely with operations teams to deliver agreed outcomes
Coordinate service start‑ups, ramp‑ups, and change management for new and evolving customer requirements
Monitor service performance, resolve issues, and proactively identify improvement opportunities
Build strong, trusted relationships with customers across automotive, logistics, shipping, and freight sectors
Support revenue growth through retention, service optimisation, and identification of upsell or expansion opportunities
Prepare customer reporting, performance reviews, and operational insights
Ensure compliance with safety, commercial, and contractual requirements
Requirements:
Experience in account management, customer success, or sales‑to‑operations roles
Background in trucking, logistics, rail, shipping lines, automotive logistics, or containerised freight
Strong understanding of supply chain and transport operations
Proven ability to manage customer relationships in a complex, operational environment
Confidence coordinating multiple stakeholders and resolving service issues
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills
A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑growing, evolving service environment
Nice to have:
Experience with finished vehicles, OEMs, ports, terminals, or intermodal services will be highly regarded
