Job Description:

Custom Product Project Manager – Build What Doesn’t Exist (Yet!). Are you the kind of person who looks at a space and instantly starts thinking, “How was this built—and how could it be better?” Do you thrive in the space between design vision and real-world execution? If so, we’ve got a role that will keep you energized, challenged, and constantly learning. We’re looking for a Custom Product Project Manager to lead the charge on one-of-a-kind builds across high-end environments—think stunning apartment common areas, cutting-edge schools, sophisticated hospitals, luxury condos, boutique hotels, and standout restaurants. No two projects are the same, and that’s exactly the point.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all phases of cabinet projects from initial contract through installation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Attend and lead client meetings and pre-construction discussions to define cabinet design intent, budget, scope, and project expectations
  • Evaluate cabinet drawings, layouts, and architectural plans to ensure alignment with project scope, building requirements, and client specifications
  • Serve as the technical expert on cabinet layouts, materials, finishes, and design intent
  • Review and manage all cabinet submittals, change orders, RFIs, and ASIs
  • Maintain full grasp of cabinet product lead times and communicate proactively with clients about material timelines and approval needs

  • Communicate clearly with accounting and clients regarding billing, projections, and change order processing
  • Lead daily and weekly production coordination meetings with internal teams and subcontractors
  • Provide detailed shipping and staging instructions to internal logistics/shipping teams
  • Ensure cabinet products are delivered to the jobsite completed, labeled, and stocked correctly
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify measurements, monitor installation progress, ensure safety and quality compliance, and resolve any field-related issues
  • Oversee and support field installation teams, including subcontractors
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems in cabinet production, delivery, or installation proactively
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by providing timely updates and solutions
  • Keep project documentation and management software up to date with current progress, cost tracking, and pending issues
  • Maintain consistent and dependable attendance, recognizing the need for flexibility and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment
  • Mentor and develop junior project management staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Collaborate with senior management to contribute to the strategic direction of the cabinet project management function, identifying opportunities for process optimization and innovation
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of best practices for cabinet project execution, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all projects
  • Proactively identify and mitigate systemic risks across multiple projects, developing and implementing preventative strategies to minimize potential disruptions and ensure overall program success
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience with Bluebeam, Emullion, or other industry-specific software
  • Ability to build full submittal packages, including cabinet and casework schedules
  • Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office tools to track progress, coordination, budgets, and job site activities
  • Strong understanding of blueprints and architectural drawings
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and task-focused

  • Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making

  • You can balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail
  • You understand (or are eager to learn) how things are actually built and installed
  • You communicate clearly across teams—from design visionaries to hands-on installers
  • You see industry knowledge not just as experience, but as a superpower
What we offer:
