Requirements

4+ years of experience in architectural millwork or cabinetry engineering (commercial / institutional preferred)
Advanced knowledge of Microvellum (required)
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD/CAM tools
Deep understanding of woodworking construction methods, hardware, and materials
Excellent problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills
Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred

Job Responsibility

Prepare detailed shop drawings, cut lists, hardware lists, and CNC programs using Microvellum and AutoCAD
Engineer custom architectural millwork, casework, and cabinetry for commercial and institutional projects
Collaborate closely with estimators, project managers, and production teams to ensure buildability and efficiency
Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and RFIs with high accuracy
Maintain Microvellum standards, libraries, and parametric models
Support the production floor with technical problem-solving and value engineering

CNC programming experience is a plus

Job Responsibility

Interpret architectural drawings to produce CNC Code and documentation required for production
Create detailed shop drawings for submittal
Assess drawings to determine proper starting product to be modified to create new custom products
Create custom products in Microvellum
Assign proper materials to products with attention to thickness, board sizes and grain/pattern directions
Include and assign machining to parts for all applicable hardware
Create organized nest drawings to be used by the machine operator
Troubleshoot G-code and machine error codes as they relate to the CNC program
Work with shop floor personnel on issues and manufacturing concerns
Interpret architectural and interior design drawings to create 2D construction drawings using AutoCAD
