We are looking for a highly skilled Custom Furniture Maker to join our premier Calgary workshop. If you are a craftsman who finds beauty in a perfect joint, thrives on technical challenges, and lives for high-end finishes, this is where you belong.
Job Responsibility
Interpret blueprints, sketches, or design specifications to build custom furniture and cabinetry
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and wood substitutes using a variety of tools
Work with veneers, solid wood, laminates, and specialty materials
Sand, finish, and touch up pieces to meet high-end standards
Install hardware and complete detailed finishing work
Collaborate with designers and team members to bring custom pieces to life
Maintain a clean, safe workspace and perform basic machine maintenance
Requirements
Proven experience in cabinet making with a focus on custom furniture (not just production cabinetry)
Strong ability to read and work from design drawings and specifications
High-level skill with woodworking tools including table saws, routers, planers, and hand tools
Keen eye for detail and precision
Ability to work independently on custom builds from start to finish
CSA-approved steel toe boots required
