We are looking for Two full-time Custody Engagement and Diversion Keyworkers to work within Police Custody Suites in Bridgend and Ystrad Mynach on permanent contracts. These vacancies will provide early identification and on the day support and engagement, triage and continuity of care, enabling Women and Young Adults to engage in wider community based support which addresses their individual needs.
Job Responsibility
Work within police custody providing early identification and on the day support and engagement, triage and continuity of care for Women and Young Adults
Develop and maintain effective relationships within police and custody units, promoting the service and working to divert women and young adults into the One Wales service
Undertake cell sweeps and engagement with all women and young adults (18-25)
Requirements
Experience working within police custody or similar environments
Ability to undertake cell sweeps and engage with women and young adults
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Commitment to reducing reoffending and supporting individuals with complex needs
Enhanced DBS Check and Enhanced Level 1 Vetting required
