Job Description

The town of Falmouth is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our department of Public Works Facilities Maintenance Division as a full-time Custodian. This is an important, hands-on role that supports the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our municipal buildings and the delivery of essential public services to our community.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform a wide range of custodial and light maintenance duties to ensure Town facilities are clean, well-maintained, and operational
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Manage multiple tasks
  • Respond to facility needs in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years of experience in custodial and/or maintenance work
  • or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Working knowledge of basic carpentry and custodial equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, snow blowers, hand tools, and power tools, is required
