Seeking a Curriculum Developer to design, transform, and implement educational products for the Center for Deployment Psychology, focusing on military behavioral health training and education. This position will be in support of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences’ Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP). The Curriculum Developer will assist with activities related to CDP’s mission, which is to lead the development of a community of military culturally mindful and clinically competent providers through the delivery of high-quality training and education, the convening of experts, and the dissemination of research-based treatment and the latest topics in military behavioral health.
Job Responsibility:
Applies curriculum and instructional design methodologies to information products and processes
Plans and monitors curriculum and instructional design processes
Participates and facilitates team discussion related to curriculum/instructional design
Provides education/training on curriculum/instructional design methods, processes, and standards
Prepares instructional aides
worksheets, workbooks, exercises, and homework
Evaluates education and training audiences
Applies curriculum/instructional design methods and processes to shape instructional products to best match the intended audience
Participates in activities related to the identification of curricula to meet educational needs (new, existing or unmet) in the field of global health engagement
Plans, coordinates, and evaluates the design and presentation of educational programs
Requirements:
Master’s Degree required
Master’s Degree in Education preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years experience required
Knowledge of principles and practice of academic curriculum/instructional design
Knowledge of curriculum development models including the ADDIE model
Knowledge of PowerPoint and other content creation platforms (e.g., Articulate)
Possess strong management, teaching, public speaking, organizational and communications skills
Educational or professional background in healthcare and teaching adult learners
Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust Clearance
