This is an identified role for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. As the Curriculum Advisor (First Nations), you’ll be part of the Gulaay First Nations curriculum and resources team in the Division of Learning and Teaching. Your role is to help make learning and teaching across the university culturally respectful, inclusive and high quality. You’ll be responsible for running and improving the First Nations Cultural Awareness Journey, a key program for staff, students and external partners. This includes making sure the program is delivered well and continues to grow and improve. You’ll work closely with First Nations Elders, communities, academics and education specialists. Together, you’ll help embed First Nations knowledges, histories and perspectives into courses and professional learning. This work supports culturally safe learning spaces and better outcomes for students across online and face‑to‑face study. Requirements:
Strong experience working respectfully with First Nations communities, Elders and knowledge holders
A background in education, curriculum, learning design or professional development
The ability to design and deliver culturally safe learning programs and resources
Well-developed communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across a large organisation
