Hyde Ibiza is a festival-inspired food lovers paradise and showcase for music and nightlife, featuring 401 rooms. Together the properties will have 7 restaurant and bar outlets, ranging from premium sushi and an ocean-to-table Balearic fare.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes in accordance with the standards set by the kitchen
Work closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
Learn and apply various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and plating
Support the team in monitoring stock levels, ensuring proper storage, and minimizing waste
Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols
Participate in daily kitchen briefings to understand the menu and special requirements for each service
Assist in the development and testing of new menu items, collaborating with the team to ensure creativity and consistency
Gain hands-on experience with kitchen equipment, ensuring its correct and safe use
Learn to manage time efficiently during peak service hours while maintaining high food quality
Support the team in understanding food cost control, portion sizes, and kitchen budget management
Requirements:
EU Nationality is required
Fluent English and Spanish
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is a plus
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Culinary Arts or a related field
Passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary techniques
Basic understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with a focus on delivering quality dishes
Team-oriented with a positive and proactive attitude
