The Culinary Assistant / Server position at Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center offers a vital role in maintaining the high standards of food service and sanitation that contribute to residents' overall well-being.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with serving meals following diet orders and prepare food to order in dining room as requested by senior/client
Operate dish machine to ensure dishes and silverware are cleaned and sanitized, dried and put away in a timely manner
Ensure accurate and timely documentation related to food production, quality, and food safety
Ensure food and products are properly acquired, stored, dated and rotated
Follow recipes according to appropriate safe food handling procedures, using food service equipment
Handle trash and sweep and mop galley kitchen floor
Procure food from storage areas, freezers, and refrigerators
Provide outstanding customer service during guest interactions
Requirements:
At least age 16
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Six months of experience in sanitation work in healthcare or food preparation facility preferred
Prep/Cook Level Food Handler Permit required
Must meet vaccination requirements
Ability to gain access to work area and safely perform job duties
Vision and hearing within normal limits with or without correction
Unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 32 pounds demonstrating strength and agility at Tabitha's discretion
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English including medical terminology relevant to the job
