Job Description:

The Engineer/Deckhand has responsibility for taking all necessary actions for safety, pollution prevention and the efficient operation of the vessel's machinery and deck equipment. They will also be required to assist on deck when required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safety of passengers during CTV operations
  • Maintenance of the vessel's machinery and deck equipment
  • Assist on deck
  • Fulfil requirements as required under the planned maintenance schedule, carrying out all orders and instructions in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintenance of equipment and vessel structures as appropriate
  • Operate vessel's lifting gear when trained
  • Assist in the maintenance of safety, lifesaving and fire-fighting equipment
  • Comply with pollution prevention requirements
  • Assist Fleet Superintendent with engineering matters concerning the vessel

Requirements:

  • STCW 95 Certificates (must be in date)
  • ENG1 Medical Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience on similar vessels/small workboats beneficial
  • First Aid
  • Personal Survival Techniques
  • Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
  • PSSR
  • All other ancillary training up to date
