Job Description:

The CTI Business Execution Lead at Citi will be a key member of the Treasury Finance team, supporting daily business functions and compliance activities within Citi Treasury Investments. The role involves monitoring investments, leading business execution activities, developing tools for analysis, and refining policies and procedures to improve controls and compliance. This role, based in London, is a hybrid position offering a competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities for professional development while contributing to the oversight of the firm’s investment activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accountable to lead Business Execution activities including desk support, P&L and Economic Value affirmation, process and control enhancements
  • Responsible for monitoring of all investments including securities, funding and derivatives with additional responsibility for oversight of the daily Economic Value and PAA
  • Be a Team Leader in facing off with Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal, Product Control, Operations, and Technology on industry initiatives, issues, MCA, data issues and enhancements.
  • Analysis and explanation of Front Office P&L for CTI AFS/HTM investments, Swaps, Transfer Pricing including attribution analysis using DV01 partials and risk metrics
  • Establish a strong working relationship with the Product Control and FP&A teams, review the daily desk level P&L and Balance Sheet reports and published daily CTI’s Cost to Close and EV.
  • Help develop and refine existing policies and procedures, ensure control and compliance of CTI trading mandates and MCAs
  • Daily interaction with all teams to provide real-time analysis and support
  • Find opportunities for process and infrastructure improvement
  • Assist in broader firm/business projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience with significant time spent in Financial Analysis / Strategy / Product Control or Middle Office role within a global financial services organization
  • Experience in investment portfolio analytics, reporting and monitoring
  • Comprehensive understanding of product knowledge of securities, debt, derivatives, and funding instruments
  • Communicates effectively
  • develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of needs of different audiences
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency, passion for results and personal accountability for achievement
  • Able to navigate through a large organization to streamline and summarize multiple information points and create repeatable processes to build consistency in presenting information
  • Accounting knowledge of FAS133, AFS, HTM, MTM a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with proven track record of managing and converting large data sets into business decision making tools
  • Ability to work well within a diverse team, as well as independently.
  • Ability to establish strong internal relationships across businesses and functions and to work in partnership with multiple parties to achieve shared goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience interacting and working with Senior leaders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) with knowledge of VBA/Python a plus.
