Job Description:

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

Job Responsibility:

  • Capture precise diagnostic images enabling Radiologists to accurately diagnose or rule out diverse medical conditions
  • Create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs
  • Provide compassionate interaction and skill in patient care
  • Proper assessment of the patient and their abilities to participate in ordered procedure
  • Provide clear explanation of the procedure including duration, process, and what to expect following completion
  • Verify informed consent and assist physician with interventional procedures
  • Practice aseptic and sterile techniques and observe universal precautions
  • Select proper equipment, set correct technical factors, procedure protocols and gather proper supplies
  • Recognize all radiation safety standards including Image Gently and Image Wisely
  • Obtain clear and complete history from the patient or patient record
  • Perform quality assessment of images obtained
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order at the beginning of the day
  • Participate in department, campus and system quality improvement projects

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
  • Medical Radiographer: IA, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, within 24 months
