Job Description:

The job involves performing routine and emergency CT imaging examinations, reviewing requisitions, and selecting appropriate equipment and techniques to differentiate pathologic from normal anatomy while adhering to safety protocols and hospital policies. It also includes engaging with patients and families to provide explanations and support, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and pursuing ongoing professional development.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct routine CT imaging examinations on both scheduled and emergency bases
Review and evaluate requisitions for CT imaging procedures
Provide explanations about the imaging examination to patients and their parents
Identify and report any equipment malfunctions
Follow departmental quality control and data integrity workflows
Comply with HIPAA regulations and the hospital’s core values

Requirements:

Associates degree in Allied Health
RT/CT registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification
BLS certification
One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist required

Nice to have:

Bachelors degree preferred
