As our CT Tech at CHI Williston Health, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. Every day you'll create cross-section images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience. To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis. Job Responsibility:
Capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions.
Create cross-section images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs.
Enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience.
Fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging.
Able to perform all CT exams within scope of practice, capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure, markers, and shielding, and knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms.
Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure.
Able to use CR reader, erase CR cassettes, send images from CR reader, and perform image manipulation as necessary.
Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations. Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD's, transfer images, and print from PACS.
Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
Maintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas in the department
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology, Required.
Medical Radiographer: North Dakota (MRAD:ND), upon hire
Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR), upon hire
American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), within 30 Days
Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (RTCT), within 24 months of hire.
