As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.
Job Responsibility:
Utilize expertise to capture precise diagnostic images
Create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs
Provide compassionate interaction and patient care
Properly assess the patient and their abilities to participate in ordered procedure
Provide a clear explanation of the procedure
Verify informed consent for and assist physician with interventional procedures
Practice aseptic and sterile techniques
Provide patient education
Select the proper equipment, setting correct technical factors, procedure protocols and gather proper supplies
Recognize all radiation safety standards
Obtain clear and complete history from the patient and or patient record
Perform quality assessment of images obtained and evaluate equipment issues
Ensure all equipment is in working order
Perform performance and quality tests on equipment
Use CHI incident reporting system
Participate in and have a good understanding of all department, campus and system quality improvement projects
Requirements:
Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
Medical Radiographer: IA, upon hire
Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, within 24 - months
