Job Responsibility:

  • Serves as a patient advocate to ensure that patients and customers needs are met in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensures timely scheduling of both inpatients and out patients
  • Provides education to all patients before, during and after exams
  • Maintains a positive relationship with all customers i.e., patients, other departments, physicians and fellow associates
  • Reviews patient satisfaction data and participates in improving areas of concern
  • Utilizes appropriate resources to resolve patient irritants
  • Addresses and resolves customer complaints
  • Ensures on-time completion of own performance pathway
  • Submits self-evaluation to leader two weeks before review
  • Participates quarterly in the associate satisfaction survey
  • Submits ideas on improving customer satisfaction on a continual basis
  • Accountable for the production of quality CT scans
  • Demonstrates the appropriate operation of all CT equipment
  • Demonstrates safety in all areas, electrical, environmental, radiation etc
  • Ensures all appropriate information is present before CT exams are performed
  • Completes all data entries in the HIS and RIS
  • Participates in efforts to monitor and improve departmental CQI indicators
  • Submits ideas for improving quality in the department
  • Assesses own learning needs, seeks appropriate training and development
  • Sets own learning goals
  • Maintains a program to complete required training hours per quarter
  • Submits dynamite ideas to your leader
  • Implement Just-Do-It initiatives in your department during the year
  • Participates in hospital wide activities
  • Participates in departmental recognition and socialization activities

  • ARRT eligible
  • Some scanning experience
  • Able to complete most CT procedures
  • ARRT Registered
  • Ability to adjust hours with minimal notice
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to view small CRT screens
  • Ability to work odd hours
  • Ability to respond to emergency call
  • Ability to lift and/or move patients
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions
  • Ability to work rotating shifts any day of the week
  • Ability to stand, bend and/or stoop for extended periods of time
