Job Responsibility:

  • Performs Computed Tomography procedures utilizing General Electric Revolution, Lightspeed, Brightspeed, and HD750 Computerized Tomography Systems according to established operating procedures, clinical protocols, and imaging techniques
  • Performs computerized post-processing of images using reconstruction software appropriate to the pathology or region of interest under investigation
  • Addresses minor customer complaints. Tactfully resolves complaints
  • refers difficult complaints or sensitive issues to higher authority
  • Coordinates the scheduling of inpatients and outpatients to ensure efficient utilization of CT equipment and personnel
  • Performs Quality Assurance Tests on CT equipment to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance
  • Maintains equipment safety by performing daily Tube Warm Up and Calibrations on CT scanners
  • Communicates equipment issues or concerns to appropriate personnel and/or ILinqs issues directly to GE service
  • Maintains appropriate cleanliness of diagnostic and support equipment
  • Obtains patient history and other relevant clinical information
  • documents all patient information on appropriate forms in preparation for review and dictation by a radiologist
  • Responsible for charging of patient examinations, and preparing images and clinical information for interpretation by a radiologist
  • Starts IVs using appropriate technique, prepares and administers contrast material, and monitors patient condition during the CT procedure
  • Maintains appropriate inventory levels of medical supplies
  • Initiates requests for emergency medical support as indicated by patient condition
  • this is to include Code Blue, Respiratory Distress, etc.

Requirements:

  • 12-24 months experience in radiology
  • Graduate of Radiologic Technology program
  • 2 hours of stroke education/year
  • Knowledge and understanding of cross sectional anatomy and CT procedures
  • Able to perform all routine CT procedures
  • Good oral & written communication skills
  • Computer competent
  • ARRT Registry (RT)
  • IDNS License
  • CPR
  • IV Certification within 3 months of date of hire
  • CT Registration within 1 year of date of hire
