1-2 Years Radiology Technologist Experience
Customer Service Experience
Experience Working in a Hospital Setting
If hired, must pass certification in Computed Tomography from the ARDMS or ARRT (CT) within 18 months of hire date
Positions designated as requiring a level II Background ( A detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment

Job Responsibility

Performing high-quality (CT) procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
Monitor patient vital signs and comfort during exams
Operate CT equipment and ensure proper maintenance
Collaborate with radiologists to provide optimal imaging results
Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures
Adhere to safety protocols and radiation safety standards
Educate patients on the CT process and answer any patient questions

Reviews patient history and physician's orders
Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation
Assists with preparation and administration of contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice
Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate
Prepares equipment and supplies
Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters
Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment
Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary

Completion of approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
Two years CT Tech experience
Must hold and maintain AZ DHS Bureau of Special Licensing CRT: Certified Radiologic Technologist (CT CRT) and CTCT: Certified Technologist/Computed Tomography
AZ Drivers License (DRV LIC)
Must also hold and maintain national American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (CT ARRT) and
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)

Job Responsibility

Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations i.e. Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro and Interventional Procedures
Assists Interventional Radiologist by accurately scanning the area of interest requested by Radiologist i.e. biopsies and drainages
Ensures patient is ready for scan i.e. confirms appropriate gauge IV needle, appropriate type/dose of contrast and allergy status
Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol i.e. completes exams in Radnet, incident reports/extravasation forms, patient contrast information forms, side/site forms and documents exam information in CT log
Performs protocol management by evaluating and determining area of interest and type of scan to be performed on patient, consults physician as necessary
Encourages good working relationships, promotes team effort within the department by communicating in a positive manner and motivates staff
