Completion of approved program for CT Technologist
3-4 years of clinical experience
Minimum of 1 year charge experience

Job Responsibility

Accountable for leading the day to day activities of the CT Department
Provide information on staffing needs to Manager and provide work schedules to staff
Work with Biomed Service to maintain equipment
Ensure responsible staff maintain proper supply inventories
Ensure responsible staff keep rooms prepared and stocked
Work together with Inpatient and Outpatient Scheduling
Provide oversite / direction to CT Technologists
Oversee the CT Equipment protocols and technical factors
Ensure that job aides for specialized exams are available
Identify technical limitations among CT Staff members and ensure training is performed

Completion of formal training in an approved school of radiologic technology
Maintains current NYS licensure
Maintains American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
Maintains Basic Life Support certification (BLS) with CE credits as required
For Band Two: Minimum of 18 months of progressively responsible professional work experience as a specialist in Computed Tomography in a clinical or hospital environment with at least 6 months dedicated to the URMC Imaging Sciences Department
certification in Computed Tomography

Transports patients to and from departments when necessary
