Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CSSD Technician to join our healthcare team in Pune City, Maharashtra. This is a full-time position for an experienced professional responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sterilization and infection control within the Central Sterile Supply Department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform sterilizer validation processes to ensure the efficacy of sterilization equipment
  • Operate and maintain a variety of sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and low-temperature sterilizers
  • Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments and medical devices according to established protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of all sterilization processes, including load contents, cycle parameters, and test results
  • Monitor and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of microorganisms
  • Manage inventory of sterile supplies and reorder items as needed
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in CSSD
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new sterilization procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the availability of sterile supplies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of {{}} years of experience working as a CSSD Technician
  • Proven expertise in sterilizer validation
  • In-depth knowledge of medical device reprocessing and sterilization techniques
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines (e.g., AAMI, FDA)

  • Strong understanding of infection control principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
