Job Description:

The CSIS Sr Investigator is responsible for high-level fraud investigations, network security incidents, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. This role requires subject matter expertise, analytical skills, teamwork, and the ability to independently manage cases. Responsibilities include fraud prevention, loss recovery, drafting investigatory reports, and interacting with law enforcement entities. The individual will also mentor new team members and act as an SME for senior stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

Work with a group of individuals whose mission is to investigate wrongdoing against the firm
conduct independent investigations to identify fraud, recover lost or stolen assets, identify control failures and root causes, enforce firm policies, identify network security incidents and cyber events, and support prosecution and civil litigation
work with fellow colleagues sharing diverse backgrounds and experiences
coordinate and investigate high-level fraud matters and/or network security incidents
utilize expertise in investigative interviewing, fraud identification, loss prevention, network security, and cyber enabled fraud to identify fraud activities, schemes, trends, and organized rings
manage and work on investigative cases referred from internal and external sources utilizing technology and tools
provide timely investigative results
provide accurate and formulated case decisions to reduce losses, protect customers, and safeguard reputation
research and analyze facts relevant to the case and draw conclusions
adhere to investigative standards and protocols
interact with law enforcement on loss recovery including court-ordered restitution
brief others on ongoing investigations
act as subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and other team members
assess risk in business decisions while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations

Requirements:

5-8 years of experience
ability to conduct investigative interviews and recording techniques that tie the facts and evidence together
experience investigating case(s) that have impact to the firm
understanding of forensic and eDiscovery processes and procedures to include the collection, examination, and analysis of data while preserving integrity and maintaining a strict chain of custody
experience representing/testifying in criminal and civil court matters
demonstrated report writing that would present the case and evidences gathered in a cohesive and comprehensive manner
knowledge of financial products, frauds and trends
previous US Intelligence, military, law enforcement, law firm or government service background
professional certifications (CPA, CAMS, CFE and CFF)
proficiency in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, & SharePoint for compiling written reports and spreadsheets on an investigation
flexibility to work on call off hours/weekends during critical project phases, if necessary
