The CSIS Country Security Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the security and safety services in Citi Kazakhstan for all Citi businesses. The role involves developing a local security program, designing incident response plans, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and maintaining a safe environment for clients and employees. Key responsibilities include performing security risk assessments, managing security operations, liaising with vendors and local authorities, and responding to security incidents and threats.
Job Responsibility:
Manage day-to-day security operations as well as security incident response, emergency response and crisis management support to the Crisis Management Team
conducting Security Risk Assessments (SRA) for all Citi facilities in accordance with the requirements of the Citi Security Standards
performing quality assurance and using penetration testing and operational readiness exercises
perform security self-audits and create and train Security and Safety Administrators to conduct security self-audits at remote Citi facilities
performing quarterly evaluations on security components and ensuring that any gaps identified through the process are remediated timely
collaborate with the facility Fire Safety team and support activities associated with requirements of the Fire Safety Procedures
acquiring and managing security vendor services
designing and implementing a facility security plan, including monitoring and implementing an Incident Response Procedure
responding to security incidents, investigating incidents/breaches and reporting incidents
participating in crisis management with a responsibility for People Safety and Security in partnership with HR
meeting the key performance metrics for your area of responsibility
providing clear and concise briefings/advice to management on ongoing major security matters
liaising with CSIS Intelligence, Law Enforcement, Public Private Partnerships, Industry Security Associations, and the local OSAC chapter to gather intelligence and respond to emerging threats
producing evidence and deliverables as required by Internal Audit or Regulatory Examinations
ensuring security equipment remains functional and current
liaising with CSIS Project Management and Technology Team to design replacement or new systems
providing support to CSIS Executive Protection when required
supporting visiting travelers during security events
preparing and submitting licensing applications, security plans and other documentation required by regulators
conducting security risk assessments for significant events
building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships within the organization
managing contingent and contract security staff at various Citi facilities
ensuring appropriate utilization of critical security resources including security guarding
Requirements:
7+ years security management experience in a corporate, regulatory, consultancy or law enforcement environment
experience working in a corporate or financial services security team in a leadership role
deep understanding of security operations, processes, and controls with demonstrated experience in designing a security program at facility level
strong understanding of applicable local laws/statutes as they relate to security
verbal and written communication skills in English and fluency in one official local language
proven experience of providing leadership in managing crisis events or significant security incidents
demonstrated ability to find agile solutions to manage a dynamic threat or risk
knowledge of Operational Risk Management frameworks and regulations for the banking industry
understanding of the security risks in the relevant cities and countries and the geo-political risks that might impact the country
ability to understand key internal and external stakeholders and build relationships and networks
ability to travel, often at short notice
ability to multitask by prioritizing and triaging multiple security incidents
ability to work both independently and as part of a team
proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook
demonstrates an appreciation of a diverse workforce
willingness to take on feedback and adapt to CSIS methodologies
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant qualifications and/or apprenticeships/vocational training programs
professional security qualification or certification will be an advantage
Nice to have:
