US Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
At least a level 2 proficiency of limited working proficiency according to the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR)
Score of 2 or higher on both the Reading and Listening DLPT tests if test was administered while the applicant was a DOD employee and within the last 12 months
If no DLPT score is available, applicant should contact the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language for civilian tests that provide ILR Level 2 verification
May be required to submit to and pass a counterintelligence polygraph (CSP)
Must possess a minimum of an associate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited postsecondary institution
For Senior 35P Trainers: 6 years of MOS operational experience as Cryptologic Linguist (U.S. Army MOS 35P / U.S. Air Force AFSC 1N3 / 1A8, or U.S. Marine Corps specialties) within the last ten years
Must have completed one of the military courses: 35P ALC, or WOBC, WOAC
