Satisfactory completion of formal training for mechanical maintenance of cryogenics equipment
1 to 3 years experience in the field of cryogenics, ground support equipment maintenance or equivalent
Must have a level 3 understanding of written and spoken English and ability to comprehend all required publications
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to qualify and operate vehicles related to this position and the Material handing equipment (pallet jacks, 4K/10K forklifts)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Complete Cryotainer Maintenance Course (J3AZR2F051 05AA) and awarded SEI 036
Ensures qualified personnel (AFSC 2F0X1), US Civil Service, US contract employees, host national military and/or civilian, or sister service equivalent(s) are permitted to perform cryogenic operations
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documenting maintenance records and work orders
Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling at least 50 lbs and operating material handling equipment

Job Responsibility

Complies with all company standard operating procedures, work instructions, USAF Technical Orders, industrial safety and environmental policies
Perform periodic maintenance, reconstitution, and storage of cryogenic assets (like LOX and LIN tanks) in accordance with USAF Technical Orders
Inspects/evaluates cryogenic assets and installed components
Identifies necessary replacement parts and part numbers
Identify malfunctions and perform repairs on cryotainers, transfer tubes, and valves to ensure equipment remains mission-ready
Cleans/inspects and repairs cryogenic assets and components
Troubleshoots cryogenic asset malfunctions and takes necessary maintenance actions
Participates in equipment maintenance, shop safety, and other related training
Ensures calibration of cryogenic gauges and hydrostatic testing of liquid samplers
Ensures corrosion control is performed as required, to include sanding defected areas, cleaning and priming surfaces, painting and application of preservation materials
