Job Description:

Permanent position at a sugar processing facility involving shift work during the Crushing season and day work during the Maintenance season. Based in North Queensland's Burdekin Region.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operation of turbines along the milling train
  • Monitoring the condition of and attending to the operation of shredders, alternators and associated equipment

Requirements:

  • Work effectively within a team environment

  • Communicate effectively
  • Be able to provide regular and accurate feedback to Operations Coordinators on a station performance and quality issues

  • Replace bearings, rollers, pumps, motors, hoses, cylinders, and structural components as needed
  • Assist with plant rebuilds, relocations, and major shutdown maintenance
  • Complete detailed maintenance logs and work orders
  • Operate loaders, excavators, water trucks, haul trucks, skid steers, and other equipment as needed to support operations
  • Safely move materials, load stokepiles, and assist with plant cleanup and resets
  • Perform basic daily equipment checks before and after use
