Job Description

An experienced Crosshead Extrusion Setter is required to join a production team on a permanent day's shift. The role involves setting up and operating crosshead extrusion lines, ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards whilst maintaining production efficiency.

Job Responsibility

  • Setting and operating crosshead extrusion machinery
  • Carrying out machine set-ups and changeovers
  • Packing and preparing production lines
  • Monitoring product quality and making process adjustments where required
  • Troubleshooting production issues to minimise downtime
  • Working safely and efficiently to meet production targets
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Extrusion Setter is essential
  • Experience within co-extrusion processes
  • Background in wire coating, cable extrusion, hose extrusion, or pipe extrusion
  • Experience working with materials such as PVC, Polyurethane, Megalon, and Nylon
  • Strong understanding of extrusion processes and machine set-up
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
