We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer (L3/L4) to drive automation strategy and execution across multi-technology environments. This role is responsible for ensuring delivery of high-quality managed services by proactively managing, monitoring, and resolving complex, escalated technical incidents through automation and engineering excellence. The primary objective is to reduce manual effort, improve service reliability, and enable near real-time resolution of incidents using automation frameworks, DevOps practices, and advanced tooling. This is a senior and strategic role, operating across diverse technology domains including cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, and applications. The engineer will also act as a technical escalation point (L4), mentor teams, and lead continuous improvement initiatives through automation.
Job Responsibility
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and scripting languages
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks and reduce manual intervention
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for infrastructure and application automation
Maintain version-controlled automation code ensuring reusability, auditability, and scalability
Provide L3/L4 support for complex, escalated incidents and service requests
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes through automation
Leverage automation to enable proactive issue detection and self-healing systems
Ensure all incidents are resolved within SLA commitments
Support environments across Cloud (AWS, Azure), Virtualization (VMware), Storage, Security, Networking, and Applications
Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management across multi-platform environments
Integrate tools across domains for end-to-end operational visibility and orchestration
Implement DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve system reliability and performance
Reduce operational toil and enhance system observability
Define SLIs/SLOs and support performance optimization initiatives
Manage and execute complex change requests, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance
Support automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure releases
Maintain audit trails and documentation for all change activities
Integrate security tools such as CyberArk, Opswat, Splunk into automation pipelines
Enforce compliance through automated scanning, patching, and policy enforcement
Ensure secure credential management in all automation workflows
Automate backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes using solutions like Veeam, Rubrik, VMware SRM
Participate in DR drills and ensure automated failover capabilities
Act as a technical mentor for L1/L2/L3 engineers and drive knowledge sharing
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver managed services outcomes
Lead automation initiatives and contribute to strategic platform improvements
Requirements
