Job Responsibility

  • Command Counterbalance Machinery: Navigate a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse safely and efficiently using a sit-down Counterbalance forklift to move, stack, and stage freight
  • Orchestrate Cross-Dock Workflows: Accelerate transit cycles by rapidly transferring LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) cargo directly from incoming trailers to outbound staging lanes, minimizing storage time and maximizing dock space
  • Execute Heavy-Payload Material Handling: Manage demanding physical cargo requirements, including manually lifting, sorting, and maneuvering freight weighing up to 75 lbs when necessary
  • Verify Load Accuracy: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests to ensure all freight is accounted for, undamaged, and routed to the correct destination
  • Maintain Hazmat Compliance: Participate in and complete our comprehensive, in-house Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification to ensure all specialized cargo is handled according to strict safety regulations
  • Optimize Daily Logistics: Drive daily throughput during a dependable daytime schedule (Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM), maintaining a sharp focus on deadlines to ensure trailers depart on time

Requirements

  • 7+ months of recent, hands-on experience safely and efficiently operating a sit-down forklift in a fast-paced environment
  • proven experience in high-velocity LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) logistics, ideally honed at industry leaders like Manitoulin, Mustang, or MTE
  • high proficiency in handling shipping and receiving documentation, managing bills of lading, utilizing RF scanners, and executing precise packing workflows
  • strength and stamina to comfortably and safely lift up to 75 lbs throughout your shift
  • positive attitude, excellent punctuality, and own reliable transportation to consistently make the 7:30 AM West End start time
