Job Description

The Dispatcher is the cornerstone of our transport operations. He/She is responsible for planning, organizing, and tracking deliveries in an optimal and compliant manner. The role requires efficiency, excellent judgment in emergency situations, and constant communication with drivers and customers.

Job Responsibility

Design and adjust daily delivery routes local and cross-border to maximize driver efficiency and adherence to delivery schedules
Assign trips to the appropriate drivers and vehicles, taking into account current legislation (driving hours, labor laws)
Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, managing contingencies, cancellations, and delays, and quickly finding solutions en route

Requirements

Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a dispatching role
Excellent knowledge of the geography of the operating sector: Quebec, Eastern Canada, United States
IT skills in DispatchMate and Isaac

Regional freight will be required
Must be able to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol
