Job Description:

The CloudKDB team is revolutionizing the architecture of our existing market and trade capture system to enable it to scale and ingest an ever-increasing volume of data sets. The team's vision extends beyond data capture, encompassing the development of innovative applications and advanced analytics directly on top of this data.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the development of the Kdb+ target state architecture
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Drive innovation by exploring new technologies
Document business requirements, propose innovative solutions, and oversee their development
Conduct thorough testing to ensure solutions meet defined requirements
Manage project timelines, track progress, and ensure timely delivery
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
Facilitate effective communication between the team and stakeholders
Continually improve the software development lifecycle and the overall quality of the product
Provide support to users in accessing and querying data

Requirements:

Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of developers
Strong understanding of computing fundamentals: concurrency, algorithms, and data structures
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks
Strong interest in technology and a passion for learning about distributed systems and databases
Extensive experience working with KDB+ at an enterprise level or demonstrated expertise in low-latency Java or Python
Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Strong Linux/bash skills
Experience with trading platforms and a solid understanding of financial markets
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience in a similar role
